Watford Womens Centre

Watford Women’s Centre Plus is the only non-statutory domestic abuse service in West Herts offering long term support to Standard and Medium Risk clients. Helping domestic abuse victims at an early stage of a cycle of domestic abuse can prevent death in some cases.

In 2013, 77 women were killed nationally by their partner or ex-partner, two of which were in Hertfordshire. In 2013 we held 2,975 individual support sessions for women from the whole of West Hertfordshire needing crisis support, counselling or other specialist support and helped over 1,000 people at our Job Club.

We also support their sons, husbands and brothers to resolve their dilemmas productively, and support their search for better relationships and work opportunities through counselling, training and job club opportunities. Tandem Parachute Jumps

Leaving the aircraft at 10,000ft you’ll reach speeds of 120mph (that’s as fast as a Golden Eagle diving for prey, by the way!.) You’ll experience the rush and buzz of freefall strapped to a professional and experienced parachute instructor. Your instructor will release the canopy at about 5000ft and you can either help them steer the parachute home or leave them to do it for you and ‘relax’!
